January WE ARE DONE WITH the Hustle

January used to come with goals and vision boards for my past self.New year. New goals. Bigger push. Sharper focus. Less rest.
That version of January stressed me out.And honestly? A lot of us are done rehearsing that script. We’re also done trying to do whatever random thing the whole world says we should be doing.
This January isn’t about forcing momentum. It’s about listening.Listening to what your body is actually asking for after a year of doing, producing, holding things together, and adapting on repeat.
I’m not interested in hustle culture anymore. I’m also not interested in chasing trends—business trends, wellness trends, or the latest version of “how to optimize your life.”
Instead, I’m choosing something quieter and way more honest: rhythm.

Intention as Rhythm, Not Pressure
I don’t set rigid goals in January.I set intentions based on what I’m craving.
Craving is information.Fatigue is information.Excitement is information.Resistance is information.
Especially for women, energy isn’t linear. It comes in waves, cycles, seasons. Some months you’re outward, social, expansive. Other months you’re inward, reflective, slower. Treating January like a sprint ignores that reality—and usually leads straight to burnout by March.
So instead of asking, “What should I achieve?”I ask, “What do I actually need right now?”
More rest?More structure?More community?More creativity?More space?
None of those answers are wrong. They just point to different rhythms.
Capacity Changes — And That’s Not a Problem
Your capacity this January might not look like last year’s. That doesn’t mean you’re behind. It means you’re alive, responsive, human.
Maybe your body wants fewer commitments.Maybe your nervous system wants familiar instead of new.Maybe your creativity wants depth instead of scale.
Slow expansion isn’t stagnation. That’s how things grow roots before they grow wide.
This is also why the spaces I care about—retreats, gatherings, moments of pause—aren’t about pushing you to your “next level.” They’re about helping you hear yourself again, so whatever you build next actually feels sustainable and real.
Seasons Over Deadlines
Nature doesn’t bloom on a deadline.Neither do we.
January can be a winter month for the soul—even in warm places. A time to observe, soften plans, and move with intention instead of urgency.
Slowing down isn’t a failure. It’s a skill.
This year, I’m honoring:Seasons over speed.Presence over performance.Desire over discipline.
If you’re craving rest, let that be enough. If you’re craving connection, follow that.If you’re craving movement, creativity, or quiet—trust it.
January doesn’t need more force. It needs more listening.
